Remember that it takes consistency and time when it comes to Pinterest growth but stick with it for 3-6 months and you WILL find yourself heading towards your business goals rather then remaining stagnant with no clue how to get it moving. Here’s how to build a Pinterest Business profile from scratch:
Pin This For Later:
Optimize Your Profile
Make sure it’s a business account
Claim your website, Instagram, Etsy, Youtube & Shopify
Profile name with your business name and keywords
Make sure your profile photo matches your Instagram
Add a call to action and more searchable keywords to your bio
Add a on-brand photo as your header image (you can make that more useful later)
Create 8-10 boards
Be sure to use keywords for board names
Use keywords in board descriptions
Fill out boards with 5-10 pins minimum
Be Strategic With Your Goals
Decide on your #1 and #2 goals for Pinterest and make sure you know how you’re going to make it worth your time investment.
Goal ideas:
Brand awareness: spread the word, increase Google ranking, become well known
Website traffic: get targeted eyeballs on your site so you can use it funnel people into an email list, use it to prove to brands they should work with you, use it to make money from ads, use it as a way to increase sponsorship rates (I can get x many people to the post with your products)
Affiliate sales
Point them to other social channels (only recommended to be #1 goal if you don’t have a site)
