Pinterest has started allowing business accounts to “claim” multiple websites. Here’s why claiming multiple websites can be beneficial to your brand:
Here’s what happens when you claim your site (straight from @pinterest):
– you get access to analytics for the Pins you publish from your site
– you get access to the analytics on Pins that other people create from your site
– your profile picture will show up next to any Pins that come from your site as well as a “Follow” button for your Pinterest account
– the globe checked icon will appear next to your website URL on your profile
This is magical for a lot of business owners that have multi-faceted businesses or different urls for shops vs. main hub.
Caveat: if your businesses are completely different (i.e. my Pinterest marketing business and @theinternetsmoh), you can’t (and wouldn’t want to) claim them under one account. This is for people that have multiple websites or online shop fronts that are all under one umbrella or one personal brand.
