If you don’t know about @tailwindapp yet, you have got to check it out.
I use it for all of my Pinterest clients because not only does it help me post the 18-20 pins/day with ease, but it has some pretty cool features.
This allows you to group boards together and label them. That way when you’re scheduling to your queue you can easily select a list rather than individual board names.
How I use it- I either use it for multiple group boards for different topics and label it by topic OR I’ll create group board lists just to make it easy to add one pin to 3-4 group boards rather than having to type in manually.
This allows you to recycle pins to go out on a specific timeline. You can set up multiple loops and it will send out on one of the spots you’ve set in your custom schedule.
How I use it- I usually start with 2 loops for each client. One loop includes posts from their site that are evergreen and continually loop into their top group board and their catch-all “Business Name” board. The other loop includes Instagram posts that are evergreen that continually loop into their catch-all “@InstagramHandle” board.
This allows you to choose how many pins you want to go out per day for both your usual queue and each smartloop. Plus it chooses times based on what’s optimal for your audience and does all the hard guess work for you.
How I use it: I schedule 20 pins total. Depending on how much content they have, I usually 2/day from the website smartloop and 1 per day from the Instagram smartloop.
Tailwind Tribes (that’s actually “Tailwind Communities” now): This is a key feature of Tailwind and way more useful than group boards, but with a similar concept. People join Communities in their niche and add pins there, but for every pin they add they must share one from someone else in the community.
How I use it: I join a minimum of 2 communities per client and add 2 pins from all new blog posts to each community. I try to add 1 graphic and 1 photo from the same post that way you can see which appeals to which community better. Then, I just pick whichever pins from the community look on-brand and relevant to the client and add to their queue. This helps with the 20% of other people’s content that I include into the schedule.
BTW: you can get all of those features on their basic plan which is just $14.99/month. Got any Tailwind fave features that I left out? Comment below!
